Deji Oshilaja scores a brace effort as Burton Albion on Sunday thrash Chippenham 6-1 to qualify for the English FA Cup fifth round.

Nigerian London born versatile defender was in the thick of the action from start to finish.

Another Nigerian Victor Adeboyejo was also on parade for Burton Albion and saw an early goal ruled out for offside, just before Johny Smith fired home the opener from Oshilaja’s pass.

Adeboyejo later headed another glorious chance over, and Oshilaja saw a fine header turned around the post by the flying Henry.

Burton got their second on the stroke of half time as Oshilaja raced along the touchline before beating his marker and firing home from an acute angle.

Victor Adeboyejo saw another goal ruled out for off side, just before  Bobby Kamwa made it 3-0 for the hosts, before Harry Parsons pulled one back for the Bluebirds.

Sam Winnall added a late brace, but there was still time for Oshilaja to slot in the sixth from the edge of the area as Burton took their place in the third-round draw.

KRC Genk has signed Nigerian forward Toluwalase Arokodare on the transfer deadline day.

Genk was in the market for a direct replacement for Paul Onuachu, who left for Southampton, and quickly turned to Arokodare who was on the verge of signing for Anderlecht.

The Nigerian was at Neerpede on Tuesday night, having his medicals.

However the striker later left Neerpede and drove straight to Genk after receiving a call from Genk’s Director of football Dimitri De Conde.

Arokodare then signed four-and-half year deal from Valmiera although he had played on loan at French division two side, Amiens.

The deal is reportedly worth €4.5m which could rise to €7m at the end of the contract.

Arokodare netted eight times and provided two assists for Amiens.

Meanwhile, Anderlecht turned their attention to Islam Slimani, the 34-year-old striker from Stade Brest, after the deal for Arokodare fell through.
